The Abandoned Planet | Act 4 – The Obelisk
Intro
Welcome to our walkthrough for Act 4 of the “Abandoned Planet” from Snapbreak (publishers) and Dexter Team Games (developers). In the previous part, our protagonist entered the obelisk on the sand island. She turned back and she noticed a four-arm alien watching her silently. What will happen next?
Walkthrough

Approach the alien.

Move the camera down and point at the strange items he is holding. He will give them to you.

Go left.

- Pick the circular object. It is a key for one of the doors.
- Approach the entrance.

Check the left corner.

Pick the old cup.

- Return to the hallway and scan the water so you can be sure it’s not toxic.
- Take some water with the old cup.

Return to the monument area and check the right corner.

Pour the water to unstuck the perforated metal on the ground, then pick the metal up. This is the second perforated metal you got, the first one you got from the alien.

From the entrance to the monument area pick the right to arrive at the other side of the hallway. Approach the controls between the torches.

Place all the switches in the middle. Pay attention and remember how one switch moves the others and then combine the sequence of movements.

Approach the similar controls on the other side of the corridor.

The puzzle is the same.

Solving the switches will unlock 2 new puzzles at the monument. Return there and approach the door below the monument.

Approach the controls on the left.

You can find a clue on how to solve puzzles for both controls in your journal.

On the right side, there are buttons. When you click a button, the corresponding position on the left side of the panel will activate. For example, if you press the upper left button, the upper left circle on the left panel will be raised and grow red. Press the buttons so you get the 2 red circles and 2 green lines like in the picture above.
Once you do that, put one of the perforated metal on the left side of the panel. The holes of the metal piece should match the activated fields on the panel.

Approach the right side of the monument and do a similar puzzle. Place the other perforated metal piece. With 2 puzzles completed, the door below the monument will be unlocked. You will find out that this is an elevator.

Enter the elevator. On the left side, you can see the symbols of the floors. Approach the controls on the right side.

You can control which floor you want to go to by moving the lower switch (click on the desired line and the switch will move to it). You can start the elevator by activating the switch above. Go to the lowest floor.

On the lowest floor, there are 4 unlocking mechanisms on the left and the right side, and 2 controls in the middle (2 circular lids). You need to unlock both circular lids but you can only unlock what is on the lower level, not the one above. You will unlock the above controls later.
Approach the mechanism on the left.

- Press the button to open the lid.
- Move the first switch to the right.
- Move the second switch to the right.
All the black lines should be visible.

Go to the mechanism on the right.

- Press the button to open the lid.
- Move the first switch to the right.
- Move the second switch to the right.
- Move the third switch to the right.

Solving these 2 mechanisms will open the lid of the first available control. It is a valve that is spreading gas to other floors of the obelisk. It will be useful later when you need to scare a certain alien beast. You first need to unlock the other circular lid (the one above) that hides the control about to which floor the gas is going.

Go to the floor shown in the picture above.

Go right.

This valve switches the controls on the last floor where you have just been. Turn the valve.

Return to the last floor. Now you need to unlock the lid that hides the gas movement controls. Approach the left mechanism first.

- Press the button to open the lid.
- Move the first switch to the right.
- Move the second switch to the right.
- Move the third switch to the right.
- Move the first switch to the left.

Approach the right mechanism.
- Press the button to open the lid.
- Move the first switch to the right.
- Move the second switch to the right.
- Move the third switch to the right.
Once you complete the previous puzzles, you will unlock the device that can change where the gas is going. But first, you need to find out how to correctly use this device.

Go to the floor shown in the picture above.

Pick the hand tool from the ground.

Go to the floor shown in the picture above. It is a greenhouse area of the obelisk.

Go right.

Continue right and ignore the control panel for now.

Approach the tree.

From the tree, move right.

Continue forward.

Approach the controls on the pipes.

Use the hand tool to open the lid. Unscrew 4 screws.

You will see a screen that explains how to change the configuration of the device on the lowest floor so that the gas goes to a certain floor. Pay attention to the position of squares for the floor on the lower-left part of the screen. This is the floor, in the alien language, where the beast is blocking the hallway.

Return to the lowest floor and move the handles to the position described with squares on the previous screen.

Return to the floor where you can find the valve that changes the controls of the lowest floor and turn the valve.

Go back to the lowest floor and turn the valve to release the gas. This will scare the beast away.

Go to the floor where the beast was.

Go forward, pass the rubble.

Pick the vial with red liquid from the hand.

Return to the entrance of the hallway and approach the door on the right.

Use the circular object you have to unlock this room. You can explore the room, but there will be nothing to use there.

Go to the greenhouse floor and now approach the control panel you ignored before (it’s before the tree).

Place the vial with red liquid on the top of the control panel.

With arrows select the fan settings and click the confirm button highlighted in the picture above to disable the fans in the greenhouse. This way, you will unlock a new pathway to the only floor that can’t be accessed via elevator.

Select the last option and enable it. You will activate the device on the tree. You will use this device near the end of this Act.

Go to the area where the gas panel is and jump into the ventilation. You unlock this by disabling the fans previously.

Drag the finger left or right to crawl. Crawl to the right and you will find an entrance to the unaccessible floor.

When you arrive, go right.

You can visit the chapel and check the stained glass for more lore about the world.

Go right from the chapel entrance.

Approach the wall.

Press the red button to open the glass lids. You will need to find two light bulbs to place here to get another clue.

Return to the vent.

While crawling back, don’t forget to pick 3 circular objects that are keys to various rooms.

Return to the floor with a long hallway. You can optionally explore the room across from the ruins, but you won’t find any clues or items. Open it with one of the new circular objects you found. Pay attention to the shape of the circular object to select the correct one.

Go to the door that is across from the door with the alien hand sticking out from under it.

Use the correct circular object.

Approach the screen.

Take the light bulbs you need.

Return to the hallway and approach the central door.

Unlock it with the remaining circular object.

Approach the screen.

Look at the doll. It is a hint to the scene at the end of this Act.

Go to the left part of the room.

- Press the red button.
- Place the cartridge that the alien gave you at the beginning of the chapter on the pedestal.
- Press the red button once again to watch the recordings that the alien family left.

During the recordings, remember what a spherical machine looks like. The alien configured the machine in this way to open the wormhole portal.

Return to the chapel floor via ventilation access, go to the area right from the chapel entrance, and place the light bulbs inside the slots.

Press the red button to close the glass lids.

The lights on the glass will be different now. This clue represents the color of liquids in 3 vials you need to start the railcar to leave the obelisk. You’ll need red, purple, and orange liquid.

Return to this floor, where the large valve was.

Instead of going right where the valve is, go left. Push the handles inside the holes and leave only the handles that can be seen from the recorded movie that the alien family left.

When you solve the previous puzzle, a new door will unlock. Approach the wormhole portal.

Pick the box of empty vials.

Go to the greenhouse floor, approach the tree, and then go left from it.

Approach the display case full of plants.

Place the first empty vial inside the slot.

Check your journal to see which symbols you need to look for to create a liquid of a specific color. The options are to create red, blue, or yellow liquids. Later, you will mix them to get the purple and the orange liquid.

- You can move the electric rod by pressing the left and right buttons on the bottom.
- Look at the alien symbols and consult the journal. Once the electric rod is below the symbol and you press the activation button, the symbol will be added to the combination stack. You need to have the same stack of symbols in the combination like in your journal to get a certain color.
- You can see the electric rod behind the glass. Once it is below the symbol you want, press the circular activation button to shoot electricity at the flowers.
- On the top right side, you can see how much you filled the stack. You can have up to 5 symbols. Once you collect 5 symbols, a new liquid will be added to your vial.
- At the end of each filling of the vial, take the vial and place a new empty one.
Create 3 red liquid vials, 1 blue liquid vial, and 1 yellow liquid vial. You will have 1 empty vial.

Go to the tree and approach the device. Put the red liquid vial, empty vial, and blue liquid vial in the order like in the picture above and press the button on the device. The middle vial will hold a purple liquid. You will also receive 2 empty vials.

Combine red liquid with yellow liquid to get the orange liquid vial similarly.

Return to this floor.

Open the small compartment on the railcar.

Place the remaining red liquid vial and place newly created purple and orange liquid vials.

Enter the railcar and approach the driver’s seat.

Pull the switch to start the railcar. This will mark the end of the Act 4.
Our protagonist ended up underwater, passing through an elaborate labyrinth of caves. Meanwhile, our alien friend entered the room where the doll was. He looked at the doll and he could not resist the tears.
