Amnesia – Room Escape Games Part 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Part 2 of our walkthrough for the “Amnesia – Room Escape Games”. At the end of the previous part, we solved the wall picture puzzle and found out that Jack is infected with the virus that he created. We will continue the story from this point.

NOTE: The second part of the walkthrough ends when you get to the puzzle which involves mixing the colors to get the correct recipe. At this point, the third part of the walkthrough begins.

When we assembled the wall picture, the light on the drawer (on our right) changed from red to green, which probably means that we unlocked the drawer. However, before we take a look at it, let’s first check out the white door.

Well, it seems that the three images above the Numpad can be used to find out the correct code. So, let’s memorize these three images before we go back.  We have (looking from left to right)

First: 2 Dice,

Second: a man in Arabian clothing

Third: Two Roman soldiers.

Ok, let’s first take a look at the magazine on our left, because here we previously saw a Sudoku puzzle, and the first picture was 2 Dice, so it’s probably referring to Sudoku magazine. Tap on the magazine to open it.

Well, we should now solve the Sudoku.

We know that in the second field (left to right) in the first row should be number 2.

In the second field in the second row should be number 4.

Well, we now have to determine the number in the fields with the question mark. These numbers could be either 1 and 3, or 3 and 1. We will assume that the correct numbers are 1 and 3, and if this fails, we will try 3 and.

So, the first two digits are 1 and 3. Let’s continue.

Let’s check out the drawer on our right, that we unlocked by assembling the wall picture.

Tap on the drawer to take a closer look, then tap again to open it.

Well, inside the drawer we can see two Roman numerals, and in the third picture, we saw two Roman soldiers. However, the picture of two Romans was the third one, looking from left to right. So, these are the last two digits of the code.

So, the last two numbers, 5 and 8. Let’s memorize/write this down.

After that, tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

When we cleaned the stain from the floor, we uncovered the number 7. In the second picture, we saw a man dressed in Arabian clothing, so this probably refers to Arabic numerals. If that’s correct the second number is number 7.

So, we discovered

1, 3 (Sudoku) (or 3,1 we shall see)

7 (Arabic number on the floor)

5, 8 (Roman numbers inside the drawer)

When we put it all together we get “13758” (or 31758 depending on the correct solution for the Sudoku)

Let’s go back to the locked door and try out this code.

Enter the code “13758” to unlock the door.

Tap on the door to proceed into the next room.

First, tap on the item on your left to pick it up, and a “Stationary Knife” will be added to your inventory.

Above the fireplace, we can see the statues representing human evolution, but they aren’t placed in the correct order. We’ll get back to that. For now, let’s take a closer look at the table.

In the note on the table, we can see the correct order for the statues of human evolution (but we could certainly solve this one without a note). Select the “Stationery Knife” from the inventory and tap on the lemon to cut it in half. After that, “Lemon” will be added to your inventory, and Jack will say that lemon juice is great for removing rust.

Tap on the tea kettle to pour the tea into the cup.

Tap on the cup, and our character will spill the tea. After that, the strange symbols will appear on the paper, replacing the steps of human evolution, and Jack will pick up this note. “Note with hint” will be added to your inventory.

Ok, let’s check out the figures above the fireplace.

Tap on the figures to change their positions, and arrange them in the correct order, which you can find in the image below.

When we properly arranged the figures, the hidden compartment below them opened. Tap on the item inside to pick it up and a “Cane Handle” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

There’s one more thing that we can do inside this room. Select the “Bracelet” from the inventory and tap on the curtain on your right.

We discovered a wall safe that was hidden behind the curtain. However, we do not have a combination to open it, so let’s go back to the previous room.

We are back in the main room. Tap on the door on your right to take a closer look at it.

If we tap on the door handle, we will discover that it is very rusty, and we will have to find a way to remove the rust in order to open the door. Fortunately, or character already said that lemon juice is great for removing rust. So, select the “Lemon” from the inventory, then tap on the door handle to remove the rust.

Tap on the door again to proceed into the next room.

Tap on the stick on your right to pick it up, and “Base of the cane” will be added to your inventory.

Well, we already have a cane handle, so let’s assemble this item. Select the “Cane handle” from the inventory drag it to the “Base of the cane” to combine these two items. A “Cane” will be added to your inventory.

Let’s take a closer look at the mannequin.

Select the “Comb” from the inventory and use it to move the hair out of the way, by dragging left and right.

Well, it seems that some item was hidden below the hair. Tap on it to pick it up and a “Hairclip” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the door on your left to take a closer look at it.

Well, it seems that we will have to find a missing part and arrange symbols in the correct order to open this door. Tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

Tap on the window to open it, then tap again to take a look outside.

We can see an item, but our character can’t reach it. So, select the “Cane” from the inventory and tap on the item to drag within arms reach. Our character will automatically pick up the item, and a “Detail” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the picture on the right.

Our character will knock down the picture revealing Greek letters that were hidden behind it. Looking from top to bottom we have.

Omega

Unknown (smeared up) letter – could be Beta

Epsilon

Unknown (smeared up) letter – could be Gamma

Memorize the order of letters, then tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

Tap on the door on your left, once more.

Select the “Detail” (missing symbol) from the inventory and tap on the slot on the door to insert it.

Ok, we should now arrange the letters in the same order as on the wall (behind the picture.) We had

Omega

Unknown (smeared up) letter – could be Beta

Epsilon

Unknown (smeared up) letter – could be Gamma

Tap on the symbols to start the interaction.

Well, the letter Gamma should be at the bottom, and the letter Beta should be above the Epsilon. We can rotate the letters by tapping on them.

Let’s start by tapping on the Beta to place it above Epsilon.

Well, now we just have to rotate the letter Gamma all the way down and we will solve this puzzle. So, let’s tap on the letter Gamma.

We managed to get the Gamma to the second position. Now, let’s tap on the letter Beta to rotate the Gamma below it.

Finally, let’s tap on the letter Epsilon to get the Gamma all the way down, and solve this puzzle.

As soon as we arranged the symbols in the correct order, the door automatically opened. Tap on the door to proceed into the next room.

We managed to get into the office. Tap on the “Rag” to pick it up.

Next, tap on the framed picture on the shelf to take a closer look at it.

Tap on the photo again, and Jack will flip it around revealing some kind of sequence of dots and numbers at the back of the picture. “Trimming scheme” will be added to your inventory.

Ok, let’s take a closer look at the desk.

Tap on the pencil holder to turn it over.

Drag the pencils left and right to move them out of the way.

Under the pencils, we discovered “Paper clips”. Tap on them to pick them up.

Select the “Hairclip” from the inventory and drag it to the “Paper clips” to combine these two items. You will create “Lockpicks” which will be added to your inventory.

Finally, let’s check out the Trojan horse figure.

In this minigame, the goal is to tilt the phone and get the red ball to the exit, marked with a red circle.

Note: If you’re playing on a PC, or if you are unable to finish this minigame, you can tap on the “Hints” in the upper portion of the screen to automatically solve it by using 3 memory points.

After you complete the minigame “Ball” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the button in the lower-left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s tap on the empty frame, to take a closer look at it.

Tap on the note next to the frame to examine it.

Here we can see three Sun symbols at the top, and the boll that fell through the hole at the bottom. So, let’s memorize this because we will need this information for the next puzzle – three sun symbols at the top.

Tap twice on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

Ok, let’s tap on the golden plate to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Ball” from the inventory and tap on the inner circle to put it inside.

Rotate the inner disk clockwise, until the small stick (marker) on the disk reaches the bottom position. The stick on the inner disk will hook up the other disks along the way. Rotate it for two circles and all three sticks will fall out once the openings on the disks get close to the bottom position.

Ok, let’s first line up the Sun symbol on the middle disk, until it’s exactly at the top (correct position). The sun on the outer (largest) disk is already in the correct position.

Note: The ball will automatically fall into the slot of the outer disk, just as we wanted.

Finally, rotate the inner disk until the Sun symbol gets into the top position.

As soon as we rotated the symbols on the disks into the correct position, the hole under the ball opened and the ball fell out. More importantly, we opened the secret compartment below the frame. Tap on the secret compartment to take a closer look at it, then tap on the scissors and the “Elegant scissors” will be added to your inventory.

Let’s go back.

Tap on the drawer (located below katana) to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Lockpicks” from the inventory then tap on the keyhole to start the interaction.

Tap on the wires on the lockpicks six times to push them all the way forward.

Let’s take a look at the mechanism.

If we closely observe the red lockpick (at the top), we can see a dark line that extends from third to sixth pin (looking from left to right, of course). These dark lines indicate that we shouldn’t push the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth pin all the way up.

By looking at the green lockpick (bottom) we can see the same dark line, but it is only on the fifth and sixth. So, we will have to modify our lockpicks in order to open the safe.

Let’s memorize this.

Red lockpick 3rd to 6th pin

Green lockpick 5th and 6th pin

Tap on the wires on the red and green lockpick to reset the mechanism.

We will first focus on the red lockpick. Tap on the wire on the red lockpick twice to push it to the second pin.

Well, we should push the rest of the pins halfway up. To do this, tap on the left side of the red lockpick four times.

Ok, now let’s set the green lockpick. Tap on the wire on the green lockpick four times to push it to the fourth pin.

We should push fifth and sixth the pins halfway down. To do this, tap twice on the left side of the green lockpick.

We managed to unlock the drawer and we can see a metallic letter “D” inside. Tap on it to pick it up and “Bedroom key piece 2” will be added to your inventory.

Well, we should now go back to the front yard. To do that, tap twice on the button in the lower-left corner.

Tap twice on the small gate on the left to proceed into the garden.

Tap on the green box, located below the statue, to start the interaction.

Select the “Note with hint” from the inventory (we discovered this note when we spilled the tea over it) then tap on the green box. Our character will use the green marker to write down on the box the hints from the note.

Ok, let’s start the new puzzle. Tap on the box.

Our task is to rearrange the symbols by tapping on the four arrows. The combination of symbols in a row should form the picture that our character copied from the note. Let’s look at a few examples to clarify before we start solving this puzzle.

If we take a look at the picture on the bottom left, we can see that it three symbols that form this picture, should be placed in the first “column”. One of those symbols (double circle) is already in the correct row.

However, there’s another catch, because symbols have very specific positions. For example, the double circle symbol must be placed in the third “row”, first “column” because it is a part of the two pictures (the picture for the first column, and the picture for the third row). Take a look at the image below for clarification.

Well, now we understand the logic behind this puzzle, so we can start solving it. We will do this in multiple steps.

Step 1

Tap once on the bottom arrow.

Step 2

Tap once on the right arrow.

Step 3

Tap three times on the top arrow.

Step 4

Tap three times on the right arrow.

Step 5

Tap three times on the left arrow.

Step 6

Step 29

Finally, tap three times on the right arrow, and you will place all the symbols into the correct positions, and all pictures will start glowing.

The puzzle box will open and your character will pick up a “Book”.

Let’s go back inside the house, into the room with the wall-puzzle-picture.

Tap on the door on the left to proceed into the next room.

We can see an empty slot on the shelf on our left. So, select the “Book” from the inventory and tap on the slot to place it in.

Tap on the books to take a closer look.

We can see that books are marked with Roman numerals I, II, III, IV, and V. However, above the Roman numerals, we can see that each book is also marked with a different number of dots (1, 2, 3, 4, and 5).

We should rearrange the books by the number of dots, starting from the one with the single dot (book V) on the left.

Book V (1) dot should be first (left to right)

Book I (2 dots) should be second

Book IV (3 dots) should be third

Book II (4 dots) should be fourth

Book III (5 dots) should be fifth

Let’s begin.

First tap on book V to select it, then tap on book III to switch their positions.

Next, tap on book I to select it, then tap on book II to switch their positions.

Lastly, tap on book IV to select it, then tap on book II to switch their positions.

As soon as you arrange the books in the correct order, they will be lifted up, and our character will pick up the “TV remote”.

Tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

Select the “TV remote” from the inventory and then tap on the TV to turn it on.

Our next task is to adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation, by turning three dials, in order to discover the numbers inside the four squares.

First, tap on the first square (left to right) to select it.

After that,

Set the first dial to 4 o’clock position

Set the second dial to 9 o’clock position

Set the third dial to 7 o’clock position

We can see the first number, 5.

Next tap on the second square to select it (this will reset the dials).

After that,

Set the first dial to 7 o’clock position

Set the second dial to 9 o’clock position

Set the third dial to 2 o’clock position

We can see the second number, 8.

Next tap on the third square to select it (this will reset the dials).

After that,

Set the first dial to 5 o’clock position

Set the second dial to the 11 o’clock position

Set the third dial to 9 o’clock position

We can see the third number, 4.

Next tap on the fourth square to select it (this will reset the dials).

After that,

Set the first dial to 6 o’clock position

Set the second dial to 12 o’clock position

Set the third dial to 5 o’clock position

We can see the fourth number, 2.

So, we have “5842”. Let’s memorize/write down this number because we will need it to open the safe.

After that, tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back.

Tap on the safe on your right (that was hidden behind the curtain) to start the interaction.

Enter the code “5842” that we discovered by solving the TV puzzle.

The safe will automatically open. Tap on the item inside to pick it up, and a “Bedroom key piece 1” will be added to your inventory.

Select the “Bedroom key piece 1” from the inventory and drag it to the “Bedroom key piece 2” (which looks like the letter “D”) to combine these two items. “Bedroom key” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the arrow in the lower-left corner to go back to the previous room.

Let’s go to the room on the right.

We can see that the door on our right is marked with the letter “D”. So, select the “Bedroom key” from the inventory and tap on the door to unlock it. After that, tap on the door again to proceed into the bedroom.

We can see a fish figurine on the floor. Tap on it to pick it up and a “Wooden fish” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the tree to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Trimming scheme” from the inventory and tap on the tree.

We can see the dots that represent the proper way to trim the tree. Select the “Elegant Scissors” from the inventory and tap on the trimming scheme to start the interaction.

This task is quite simple. All you need to do is draw a continuous line and connect the dots marked with numbers. The starting point is dot number 1, and the final point is dot number 25.

When you connect the dots, Jack (our character) will trim the tree, revealing a small, red, item. Tap on it to pick it up and a “Dresser button” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the drawer on your right to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Dresser button” button and tap on the empty slot on the drawer to insert it. After that, tap on the red button to start the interaction.

The next minigame is a minesweeper. We will solve this puzzle in several steps. Let’s begin.

Step 1

Tap on the fourth button in the third row.

After that, tap on the third and fourth buttons in the fourth row.

Step 2

Tap on the third and fourth buttons in the first row.

After that, tap on the second button in the fourth row.

Step 3

Tap on the first button in the first row.

After that, tap on the first button in the third row.

With this, we solved the minesweeper puzzle, so tap on the red button to confirm.

Tap on the two items in the drawer to pick them up. A “Medallion” and a “Small Rake” will be added to your inventory. Also, if we tap between the potions, we will find out that Jack can make the aquarium glow if he remembers the formula.

Tap under the bed to see if there’s anything below it.

Drag the boxes left and right to move them out of the way, and see if there is something behind them.

We can see a red potion. However, if we tap on it, we will find out that Jack can’t squeeze through far enough to reach it.

Tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

For now, that’s it for this room. Let’s go back to the hallway. Tap on the button in the lower-left corner.

Tap on the katana to take a closer look at it.

We can see that one medallion on the katana is missing. So, select the “Medallion” from the inventory, and then tap on the empty slot to insert it.

Tap on the medallions to start the interaction.

To solve this puzzle, we should assemble the picture by rotating the nine pieces. The pieces can be rotated by tapping on the four medallions. Every odd tap (1st, 3rd, 5th…) on the medallion will rotate two pieces vertically, while every even tap (2nd, 4th, 6th…) will rotate the two pieces horizontally. Also, the piece in the middle is already in the correct position, and it can’t be moved by tapping on the medallions.

We will solve this puzzle in multiple steps. Let’s begin.

Step 1

Tap twice on the top left medallion.

Step 2

Tap four times on the top right medallion.

Step 3

Tap twice on the top left medallion.

Step 4

Tap twice on the top right medallion.

Step 5

Tap once on the bottom right medallion.

Step 6

Tap once on the top right medallion.

Step 7

Tap three times on the bottom right medallion.

Step 8

Tap five times on the bottom left medallion.

Step 9

Finally, tap five times on the bottom right medallion, and you will assemble the picture.

With that, we managed to unlock the katana. Jack will automatically pick it up, and a “Katana” will be added to your inventory.

Let’s go back into the room on the right.

Tap on the glass door on your right to take a closer look.

If we tap on the door, we will find out that it’s jammed.

So, select the “Katana” from the inventory and tap on the door to smash the glass.

After that, select the “Rag” from the inventory and tap on glass shards. Our character will use the rag to pick up one of the shards, and “Wrapped shard” will be added to your inventory.

Tap on the door to open it, and tap again to go outside.

Tap on the pile of leaves in front of you to take a closer look.

Select the “Small rake” from the inventory, and use it to remove the leaves.

When you remove the leaf pile, you will discover that the saw was hidden below it. Tap on it to pick it up and a “Saw” will be added to your inventory.

Let’s tap on the ladder to take a closer look at it.

Tap on the tool on your right to pick it up, and a “Pole” will be added to your inventory.

Ok, now let’s take a closer look at the cabinet on our left.

We can see that there’s an empty slot shaped like a fish on the top drawer. So, select the “Wooden fish” from the inventory and tap on the empty slot.

Tap on the puzzle next to the fish to start the interaction.

Ok, we can see three blue cubes on the right, and three yellow cubes on the left. But, the blue arrow is pointing to the left, and the yellow arrow is pointing to the right. So, we should move all the blue cubes to the left, and all the yellow cubes to the right. We will solve this puzzle in several steps. Let’s begin.

Step 1

Move the middle blue cube into the opening at the center. After that, move the yellow cube all the way to the right (where the middle blue cube has been).

Step 2

Move the yellow cube from the lower-left corner all the way to the right (next to the other yellow cube). After that, move the blue cube from the top-center position, into the lower-left corner.

Step 3

Move the first yellow cube on the left into the opening at the top-center, and move the other yellow cube from the left all the way to the right. After that, move the blue cube from the lower right corner, all the way to the left.

Step 4

Move the yellow cube from the top-center position into the lower right corner. After that, move the blue cube on the left into the top-center position.

Step 5

Move the two yellow cubes from the left, all the way to the right.

Step 6

Move the blue cube from the top-center position into the top left corner. After that, move the yellow cube on the right into the top-center position.

Step 7

Move the yellow cube from the middle-right position, all the way to the left. After that, move the blue cube from the top right corner all the way to the left.

Step 8

Move the yellow cube from the top-center position into the top right corner. After that, move the blue cube on the left into the top-center position.

Step 9

Finally, move the yellow cube from the left all the way to the right. After that, move the blue cube from the top-center position all the way to the left, and you will solve this puzzle.

After we solved the puzzle, the drawer automatically opened. Tap on the “Fishing rod” to pick it up. After that, tap on the button in the lower-left corner to go back.

Let’s go back inside.

Tap on the pillow on your left to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Wrapped shard” from the inventory and tap on the pillow to cut it open.

Tap on the note inside the pillow to pick it up, and a “Phosphor recipe” will be added to your inventory.

Ok, let’s take a look at the potion under the bed.

Previously we couldn’t reach it, but now we can. Select the “Pole” from the inventory and tap on the potion. Our character will pick it up and an “Ingredient” will be added to your inventory.

Let’s take another look at the cabinet on our left.

Select the “Ingredient” from the inventory and tap on the empty space between the blue and red bottles to put it down.

Next, select the “Phosphor recipe” and place it on the left side of the drawer.
