Edge of Reality: Lost Secrets of The Forest | Main Chapter Part 1
Intro
Welcome to our walkthrough for Part 1 of the Main Chapter for the “Edge of Reality: Lost Secrets of the Forest” from “Friendly Fox Games”. Help biologist Dr. Amanda solve the mysterious events in the forest.
Walkthrough

Once the cutscene finishes, tap/click on the mobile phone to add it to your inventory.

Click on the mobile phone in your inventory to inspect it closely.

Take the note-shape key and read the message. Click on Amanda’s mobile screen several times until the battery runs out. Click on the phone one last time to return it to your inventory.

Approach the items in front of you, below the seat screen. Take and read the letter. While reading the letter, take the paper clip from the letter.

Once you’ve read the letter, use the note-shaped key to unlock the bag. Take the headphones from the bag.

- Click on the first collectible animal in the bus, the owl on the left.
- Drag the headphones from your inventory to the seat screen to start watching the Redwood Park commercial.

- In the commercial, you’ll need to find all the animals that are listed. Click on the porcupine.
- Select and drag the watering can to water the mushrooms.

- After watering, the mushrooms will grow. Click on them.
- Click on the skunk.

Click on the barriers and they will go into the basket on the table.

Move the basket full of berries to the cave entrance.

Once you place the berries, the bear will appear. Click on him. Use the arrow on the left to go to the next scene of the commercial.

Click on the mountain lion, the squirrel, the sequoia, and the eagle, then go to the lake scene of the commercial using the arrows.

Click on the deer, the raccoon, and the water lily. You’ll need to click on the water lily twice: first time to open it and second time to check the item list.

Before clicking on the duck, you’ll need to find all the ducklings. Click on the three ducklings shown in the picture above to reunite them with their mother.

- Click on the duck.
- Click on one of the arrows to end the commercial.

Take the warning badge. You’ll need it to get the emergency hammer. After acquiring the warning badge, the new cutscene will begin.

After the bus stopped, go left and speak with the leftmost passenger.

- When the conversation is over, click on the first morphing object.
- Click on the second animal.
- Approach the emergency hammer.

Use the warning badge to unlock the emergency hammer.

Move the hinge, and then take the emergency hammer.

- Click on the second morphing object, on the ground, beneath the seat.
- Click on one of the clothes, and Amanda will place them all in the suitcase. Once the suitcase is moved, you will see a cat.

Approach the overhead compartment on the left.

Take the umbrella. You’ll need it later to reach one token.

Use the emergency hammer to destroy the padlock of the suitcase.

Take the first toy for the cat. You’ll need three toys to start a mini-game with a cat to calm her down.

Open the bag on the left side of the bus, near the cat owner.

Read the newspapers and then take the nail clippers. You’ll use it to cut one of the cat’s toys in the pet carrier.

Use the paper clip that you found in the letter to unzip the bag. Take the second toy for the cat.

Approach the pet carrier and use the nail clipper to cut and take the third and final cat toy.

Approach the cat beneath the seat and give her the three toys you collected. This will start a mini-game.

In this mini-game, a toy will be hidden in one cup. The cups will move. Follow the cup that contains the toy and lift it after the cups stop moving. Play three times with three different toys, and the cat will calm down. After the game is over, click on the cat to add her to your inventory.

Give the cat to the cat owner, and she will give you a treat in return. You will use treats to feed Amanda’s dog, Gray, later. After the conversation with the cat owner, a new cutscene will begin.

After the cutscene is over, speak with Dr. Finch in the trailer camp. After the conversation, a new cutscene will begin.

After the cutscene, find all morphing objects and animals in the location. Their positions are marked in the picture above.

- Approach the firepit and take an empty jar. You will use it to catch flies in Dr. Finch’s trailer.
- Approach the human-shaped plant anomaly on the left.

Use the umbrella you found in the bus to get the bicycle token from the bush on the left.

Check the bicycle on the right.

Open the bag on the bicycle using the bicycle token. Take the gloves and the first stone seal from the bag. You’ll use gloves to approach the frosty human-shaped anomaly plant, and you’ll need stone seals to unlock a hidden compartment in the firepit, but first, you have to find the second stone seal.

Approach the desk.

Move the map and read the note.

Take the toolkit that was beneath the note and the map.

Click on the toolkit in your inventory to inspect it. Open the toolkit when it’s in the center of the screen and take the second stone seal.

- Approach the trailer’s entrance and read the letter.
- Return to the anomaly plant on the left.

Drag the gloves from your inventory into the anomaly, and Amanda will put them on. Take the strange parcel from the coat pocket.

Open the parcel in your inventory and read the letters.

In the parcel, you’ll see the shards of the artifact. Place all shards in their correct positions to restore the artifact. Amanda’s dog, Gray, will appear.

Use the treat the cat owner gave you on the bus to feed Gray.

Whenever you help any animal, you can use the power of the artifact. Click on the artifact to start using its power.

Find fragments of the animal’s memory by moving the artifact. You can see the fragment in the left eyepiece. On the right eyepiece, you will see all the fragments you found so far forming the memory. Check the picture above and the pictures below to see all fragment locations.




After finding all fragments, a new cutscene will begin, showing the Gray’s memories.

After the cutscene is over, click on the lens to get a new ability: the Dog Scent.

Use the Dog Scent to uncover a new clue.

After revealing the footprints, approach the firepit.

Move the rock on the edge and place the two stone seals on the slots. A hidden compartment will open. Take the campervan key from it.

Return to the campervan entrance and use the key to unlock the door. Enter Dr. Finch’s trailer.

Once inside the doctor’s campervan, find all morphing objects and animals in the scene. They are marked in the picture above.

- Take the tape player from the right desk. Inside it is an audio cassette you’ll need.
- Approach the bookshelves.

- Take the flower plate. You will use it to unlock a compartment in the desk outside of the trailer.
- Remove the broken lever (you’ll need to click on it twice to fully remove it).

Approach the right shelves.

Rearrange flowerpots like in the picture above. After rearranging them, the flowerpots will disappear.

- Take the acid. You’ll use it to remove rust from the lid of the first aid kit later.
- Use an empty jar you found in the fire pit to capture flies.

Approach the carnivorous plants on the left desk and feed them with flies.

Once the plants catch the flies, it will be safe to take the scissors from the flowerpot. You’ll use it to cut the patched part of the mattress later.

Approach the bed.

Click on one of the books and then click on the other book of the same color, and the books will disappear. Repeat these actions to remove all the books from the bed.


Read the herbology magazine.

Turn the page and take a note. It is a clue to open one box.

Move the blanket and clothes, and charge Amanda’s phone.

Once the phone is fully charged, take it. Amanda will then call Sheriff Taylor. After the conversation with the sheriff, Gray will sense that somebody is behind the bookcase. Gray will then be added to your inventory. You can send Gray from your inventory to certain locations during the game, and he will find useful items.

Exit the trailer and approach the desk.

Place the flower plate you found on a bookshelf to unlock the desk’s compartment. Take the first deer inlay.

Enter the trailer and return to bed. Use the scissors you got from carnivorous plants and cut the patched part of the mattress. Take the second deer inlay.

Approach the drawer on the right.

Place the two deer inlays on the lid of the box.

Remember the note you’ve found in the herbology magazine. Place it next to the wooden box.

Press the deer inlays in the order described in the note. Press the middle inlay first, then the left inlay second, and then the right inlay last.

- After you’ve opened the wooden box, read the letter, and then take the tool badge.
- Click on the toolkit in your inventory to examine it. Place the tool badge in the only slot in the toolkit to get the screwdriver.

- Select the tape player in your inventory to inspect it.
- Use the screwdriver you just acquired to press the eject button and get the audio cassette.

Approach the lab section of the left desk.

On the lab desk, insert the audio cassette into the cassette player on the right.

In this type of mini-game, you will see a text at the bottom of the screen. Pay attention to the words in different colors. You’ll need to find them on the desk.
- Click on the card with the fox, and you will notice that below the fox, there is a word “Autumn”. Click on the card one more time.
- Place the gas bottle on the pipe on the right to start the flame. You will use it later.

- Read the note about sequoias and then click on the trees.
- Click on the lighting.

- A new text will appear. Click on the human figure on the right.
- Click on the glasses.
- Place the cable insulation part on the cable to fix it.
- Once the flower is open, click it.

- Click on the sun-shaped object behind the microscope.
- Click on the tweezers.
- Remove the broken lenses from the microscope.

Find and place the new lenses into the microscope. Use the microscope.

Click on the DNA.

- Click on the flame from the gas.
- Click on the root.

Find and click on all owl tokens on the desk to unlock the bag.

Take the lever from the bag.

Return to the bookcase and attach the new lever, and then use it. You will meet Lizz, and she will give you a tourist map after the conversation. You will use it to start a new mini-game to unlock a new location.
