Beyond the Room | Part III

Hello everyone and welcome to Part 3 of our walkthrough for “Beyond the Room” an escape room game created by the Dark Dome. Beyond the Room is the eighth game in the series, and like the other games, the story is set in Hidden Town, which is filled with all kinds of mysteries. In this walkthrough, we will show you how to solve all the puzzles and finish the game.

NOTE: Some puzzles will CHANGE with each playthrough, but the logic behind solving the puzzles will always remain the SAME. For example, in one playthrough a code to open a safe could be 1234, and in another playthrough, the code could be 4321. However, you will always discover the numbers for the code at the same location and by using the same hints.

NOTE: At the end of the second part, we explored the first floor of the abandoned building, and we found the key for the second floor. In the third part of the walkthrough, we will explore the second floor of the abandoned building.

Let’s explore the second floor. Tap on the door on the left to proceed to the hallway.

Let’s tap on the stairs to proceed to the second floor.

Select the “White key” from the inventory and use it to unlock the brown door. After that, tap on the brown door to open, and tap again to proceed to the next room. 

Let’s explore this room. Tap on the left door on the white cabinet to take a closer look at it, and tap again to open it.

On the left side of the cabinet, you will find a “Note with the hint”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, let’s tap on the window above the cabinet to open it, and tap again to go outside.

On the vine on the right you will see a blue flower. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

Tap on the flower and you will get a “Blue petal”. After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, let’s tap on the stairs to proceed to the next floor.

Here, you will find a “Cord for the projector screen”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up. Also, here we can see a window blocked by the vines. This window leads to the third floor, so we will have to find a way to get rid of the vines in order to proceed to the next floor.

Before we continue, let’s tap on the red tree top in the top right corner of the screen to take a closer look at it.

Here, you will find the fourth “Shadowy hamster”. Let’s go back. Tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Let’s tap on the stairs to go back to the second floor. After that, tap on the window to go back into the building.

Next, let’s tap on the blue door to open it, and tap again to proceed to the next room.

Next to the toilet, you will see a roll of toilet paper. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

Tap on the toilet paper several times to unroll it.

Let’s tap on the “Toilet paper cardboard tube with hint” to pick it up. After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, let’s tap on the water tank to take a closer look at it, and tap again to open it.

In the water tank, you will discover the fifth “Shadowy hamster”. Let’s tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the previous room. Tap on the door on the left.

Next, let’s tap on the doorway on the right to proceed to the next room.

Next, let’s tap on the table on the right to take a closer look at it.

Here, we can see a recipe for the invisibility potion. To craft it, we will need three ingredients, Raven feather, blue petal, and 3 cat hairs.

We already have a blue petal. So, let’s select the “Blue petal” from the inventory and put it into the glass of milk.

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

There are several things in this room that need our attention. However, we will come back to them later in the walkthrough.

For now, let’s tap on the arrow on the right to proceed to the next room.

Here, you will notice a cabinet. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look, then tap on the first drawer to open it.

In the drawer, you will find a “Small key”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up. After that, tap on the top drawer to close it.

Next, let’s tap on the bottom drawer to open it.

In the bottom drawer, you will find “Fan blades”. Let’s tap on them to pick them up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

On the wall on the right, you will notice four pictures. Let’s examine them. Tap on the first picture (looking from left to right) to take a closer look at it.

Let’s tap on the first picture to start the interaction. The girl in the picture will show you a “Square”. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

The first symbol = Square

Let’s tap on the second picture to start the interaction. The boy in the picture will show you a “Triangle”. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

The second symbol = Triangle

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s take a look at the other two pictures.

Let’s tap on the third picture to start the interaction. The girl in the picture will show you the “X” symbol. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

The third symbol = X

Let’s tap on the fourth picture to start the interaction. The girl in the picture will show you a “Circle”. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

The fourth symbol = Circle

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We can use the symbols that we just discovered to unlock the red box in the previous room. Let’s do that. Tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back to the previous room.

On the small table in front of you, you will notice a red box. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

Let’s enter the symbols that we discovered by interacting with the four pictures. We had,

The first symbol = Square

The second symbol = Triangle

The third symbol = X

The fourth symbol = Circle

As soon as you enter the correct symbols, you will unlock the red box. Inside you will find a “Bubble wand” and a “Small drinking glass”. Let’s tap on these two items to pick them up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, tap on the wooden board, located on the table in front of you, to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Small drinking glass” from the inventory and put it on the board.

The glass will move on its own. It looks like some otherworldly force is moving it. In the next scene, the strange girl will appear behind our character. However, once he turned around, she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Let’s tap on the glass to start the interaction. The glass will once again move on its own, and it will point to the four symbols. Let’s memorize/write down these symbols because we will need them for the next puzzle.

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We can use these symbols to unlock the cabinet in the bathroom. Let’s do that. To get to the bathroom, tap on the doorway on the left to go back to the previous room. After that, tap on the blue door, and you will reach the bathroom.

Let’s tap on the cabinet to take a closer look at it, and tap again to start the interaction.

Enter the four symbols that we discovered previously.

You will hear the clicking sound indicating that we unlocked that cabinet. Let’s tap on both cabinet doors to open them.

Inside, you will find a “Memory card” and a “Cat food”. Let’s tap on these two items to pick them up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We found the cat food, so let’s go back to the cat and feed it. To get to the room with the cat, tap on the door on the left. After that, tap on the doorway on the right.

Let’s tap on the cat to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Cat food” from the inventory and give it to the cat.

The cat is now distracted, so let’s tap on it. You will get “Some cat hair” which we will need to craft the invisibility potion.

Also, in the ventilation, you will notice an item. We will come back to it a bit later in the walkthrough. Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, let’s tap on the table on the right to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Some cat hair” from the inventory and insert it into the glass of milk. We still need a raven feather to complete the potion. So, let’s look for it.

Let’s tap on the arrow on the right to proceed to the next room.

You will notice a camera on the table. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

Select the “Memory card” from the inventory and insert it into the empty slot.

Let’s tap on the “Play button” to look at the video. The shadow in the video will appear in different locations, and our task is to memorize/write down these positions (up/down/left/right). We will need this information to solve another puzzle in this room.

So, we have, Up/Left/Up/Down/Right/Left. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

You will notice a red box on the shelf. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

So, let’s tap on the arrows that we discovered by looking at the video. We had, Up/Left/Up/Down/Right/Left.

Once you’re done, tap on the “OK” button.

You will open the box, and inside you will find, a “Box of soap powder” and a “Yellow key”. Let’s tap on these two items to pick them up.

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Next, select the “Yellow key” from the inventory and use it to unlock the balcony door. After that, tap on the door to open it, and tap again to proceed to the balcony.

Here, we can see a number of clips arranged on the three strings. Our task is to rearrange the clips, but first, we have to discover the correct order. So, let’s tap on the “Note with a hint” in our inventory to examine it.

Let’s examine the hint. We can see three lines and a number to the left and the right of each line. The numbers represent the correct number of clips on each side of the line. Let’s memorize/write down this information.

The first line = 3 left, 5 right

The second line = 1 left, 7 right

The third line = 6 left, 2 right

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to put down the note.

Let’s rearrange the clips.

Let’s tap on the three clips on the left side of the top string, and we will have 3 clips on the left and 5 clips on the right.

Next, let’s tap on the two clips on the left side of the middle string, and we will have 1 clip on the left and 7 clips on the right.

Lastly, let’s tap on the three clips on the right side of the bottom string, and we will have 2 clips on the left and 6 clips on the right.

As soon as you correctly arrange the clips, a “Raven” will land on the balcony. The last ingredient that we need for the invisibility potion is the raven’s feather. So, let’s tap on the raven, and we will get a “Raven feather”.

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the room with a potion. Let’s tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Next, let’s tap on the table on the right to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Raven feather” from the inventory and put it into the glass of milk.

With that, you will craft the “Invisibility potion”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the previous room. Tap on the doorway on the left.

You will notice a cage with a mouse on the table in front of you. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Small key” from the inventory and use it to unlock the cage. After that, tap on the cage door to open it.

Let’s tap on the “Mouse” to pick it up. After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the room with the cat. Tap on the doorway on the right.

Previously, we saw an item in the vent below the cat, so let’s try to get it. Tap on the hole in the left side of the vent.

Select the “Mouse” from the inventory and put it into the hole, then tap on the mouse to start the interaction.

As soon as the mouse approached the item, the cat tried to catch it, and the mouse was forced back to the start of the tunnel.

So, if the mouse is invisible, it should be able to reach the item. Ok, let’s try that. Select the “Invisibility potion” from the inventory and use it on the mouse.

The mouse will get the item, and it will bring it back to you. Let’s tap on the “USB drive” to pick it up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the previous room. Tap on the doorway on the left.

Our next task is to activate the projector. Let’s do that. Select the “Cord for the projector screen” from the inventory and attach it to the right side of the curtain.

Let’s tap on the cord to put down the curtain.

Next, let’s tap on the projector to take a closer look at it.

Next, select the “USB drive” from the inventory and insert it into the empty slot.

After that, tap on the red button to activate the projector.

As soon as you activate the projector you will see a hand tapping on the piano keys. Our task is to memorize/write down these keys.

The first key pressed = Third piano key

The second key pressed = Sixth piano key

The third key pressed = Eighth piano key

The fourth key pressed = Fourth piano key

Once you’re done, tap on the “Note with piano keys” in your inventory to examine it.

Here, we can see that there is a symbol on each key. Let’s memorize/write down the symbols on the keys that match the keys that we previously discovered.

The first symbol = the symbol on the third piano key

The second symbol = the symbol on the sixth piano key

The third symbol = the symbol on the eighth piano key

The fourth symbol = the symbol on the fourth piano key

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We can use the symbols that we discovered to unlock the purple box in this room, so let’s do that. On the left, we can see this purple box, so let’s tap on it to take a closer look, and tap again to start the interaction.

Let’s enter the symbols that we discovered by cracking the “Piano keys” puzzle.

In the box, you will find a “Bathtub plug”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up. After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the bathroom. Tap on the blue door in front of you.

Tap on the bathtub to take a closer look at it.

Select the “Bathtub plug” from the inventory and use it to plug the bathtub.

After that, tap on the switch to turn on the water.

Next, select the “Box of soap powder” from the inventory and pour it into the water.

Next, select the “Bubble wand” from the inventory and put it into the water.

A “Bubble wand with soapy water” will be added to your inventory. Let’s go back. Tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

Let’s go back to the room with the cat. To get there, tap on the blue door. After that, tap on the doorway on the right.

In the top right corner of the room, you will notice a machine. Let’s tap on it to take a closer look.

Select the “Fan blades” from the inventory and attach them to the machine. After that, tap on the fan blades to turn on the ventilator.

Lastly, select the “Bubble wand with soapy water” from the inventory and put it in front of the working ventilator.

The bubbles will envelop the symbols on the wall. Let’s tap on the all bubble. All, except four bubbles will burst.

Let’s memorize/write down the symbols in the bubbles starting from the left and working our way to the last symbol on the right.

Once you’re done, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We can use the symbols that we discovered to unlock the cabinet in the previous room. So, let’s do that. Tap on the doorway on the left.

Let’s tap on the right cabinet door to take a closer look at it, and tap again to start the interaction.

Let’s enter the symbols that we discovered.

You will hear a clicking sound indicating that you unlocked the door. Let’s tap on the door to open it. Inside you will find a “Sickle”. Let’s tap on it to pick it up.

After that, tap on the arrow in the bottom left corner of the screen to go back.

We can use the sickle to cut the vines that are blocking the window on the third floor. So, let’s do that. Tap on the window to go outside.

After that, tap on the stairs to proceed to the third floor.

Select the “Sickle” from the inventory and use it to cut the vines that are blocking the window.
