Escape Room: Mysteries School – Level 16

Intro

Welcome to our walkthrough for Level 16 for “Escape Room: Mysteries School” from “Ena Game Studio”. Help John renovate his old house and solve the mystery of the haunted abandoned school.

  1. Look at the photo above the fireplace. John will notice something hidden in the photo frame and will ask Ethan where the lever for the photo frame is.
  2. Approach the box on the left.

Slide down both buttons to unlock the box.

Take the lever from the box.

Return to the photo frame, place the lever, and pull it. The clue for the next puzzle challenge will appear. Remember the positions of the circles.

Approach the buttons above the fireplace to start a new puzzle challenge.

Remember the positions of the circles in the back of the photo frame. Tap on the buttons in the same order marked like in the picture above. When the button is in a different row, move the left handle up or down.

After you finish tapping/clicking on the buttons, you will discover the password 2971.

Approach the box on the right, above the fireplace.

Move the arrows like in the picture above. The smallest arrow numbered as 1 should point to number 2, arrow number 2 should point to 9, arrow number 3 should point to 7, and arrow number 4 should point to 1. This way, you will get the password 2971 and the box will open.

Take the key from the box.

Tap on the arrow to exit Ethan’s house.

Unlock the basement with the key you found in the box. Enter the basement.

Approach the box beneath the desk.

Move the lid and tap on the puzzle to start a new challenge.

Move the central wheel and release the wheel when the arrow points between the two symbols. Once you release it, the two symbols that are hidden will appear from the left and right sides of the arrow. You need to rearrange these hidden symbols and place them inside the same front symbols. You can move the hidden revealed symbols by swapping places between them. Once you unlock the box, take the chainsaw.

Exit the basement and approach the tree that fell on the house. Place the chainsaw on the tree.

Activate the chainsaw, and John will cut the tree and remove the branches.

Close the window that the tree was previously blocking. Return to the house and speak with Ethan.

After speaking with Ethan, return to the basement. Start the new puzzle challenge on the cabinet on the right.

In this puzzle challenge, the arrows will rotate over time, but they’ll have different directions. By tapping on the buttons on the bottom side, you can freeze one specific column, and if you tap a button on the right side, you can freeze one row. Arrows in a frozen row or column can’t rotate. Whenever you press another button and freeze a row or column, the previous row or column will unfreeze. You’ll need to make sure that arrows are all rotating in the same direction at the same time, like in the picture above. Once you solve this puzzle and unlock the cabinet, take the fuel.

  1. Open the chest near the desk and take the candle.
  2. Take the seven wooden boards from the floor.

Return to the living room and place the seven wooden boards into the fireplace.

Pour the fuel onto the boards.

Tap on the right arrow to go to Ethan’s kitchen.

Approach the silverware.

Pick up the gas lighter.

Approach the stove.

  1. Tap on the left-most button to activate the bottom-left burner.
  2. Use the gas lighter on the burner.

Light the candle using the burner.

Return to the living room, approach the fireplace, and use the burning candle to light the fire.
